Descriptive statistics in Google Sheets
Descriptive statistics summarise a column of numbers. Example: 20 exam scores in A2:A21.
All at once
In StatPak choose Descriptive Statistics, select A1:A21, tick Labels in first row, Summary statistics and Confidence level (%), then Run.

What the numbers mean
- Standard Error measures how precisely the mean is estimated. It shrinks as the sample grows.
- Kurtosis is excess kurtosis: 0 for a normal distribution, negative for flatter shapes, positive for heavier tails.
- Skewness near 0 means roughly symmetric. Positive means a longer right tail.
- Confidence Level is the margin of error. The 95% confidence interval for the mean is Mean plus or minus this value.
