StatPakHow to get the Data Analysis ToolPak in Google Sheets
Excel ships with the Analysis ToolPak under Data, Data Analysis. Google Sheets has no equivalent menu. You can get the same tools in two ways: build each analysis out of Sheets functions, or install an add-on that adds the Data Analysis dialog.
Option 1: install an add-on (fastest)
- Open your spreadsheet and click Extensions, Add-ons, Get add-ons.
- Search for StatPak and click Install. Approve the permission prompt. StatPak only asks to see the spreadsheet it is opened in.
- Click Extensions, StatPak, Data Analysis. A sidebar opens with the same 19 tools as Excel's ToolPak.
- Pick a tool, click into a range box and select your data in the sheet, then click Run. The results go to a new sheet.
The tools are: Anova (single factor, two-factor with and without replication), Correlation, Covariance, Descriptive Statistics, Exponential Smoothing, F-Test, Fourier Analysis, Histogram, Moving Average, Random Number Generation, Rank and Percentile, Regression, Sampling, three t-tests and the z-test. Goal Seek and Solver are in the same sidebar.
Option 2: use Sheets functions
Many single numbers in the ToolPak output have a matching Sheets function. They are useful for a quick check, but you have to assemble the full table yourself.

Why your old add-on may have stopped working
On June 1, 2026 Google turned off the old Rhino runtime for Apps Script. Add-ons that were never moved to the newer V8 runtime now show only a Help item in the Extensions menu. This hit several popular statistics, Solver and Goal Seek add-ons. See XLMiner Analysis ToolPak not working for details.
